We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working on a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, skid steers, and haul trucks. Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop and in the field.
Complete repairs efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards.
Work closely with equipment managers and field personnel to prioritize repairs.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
Experience working on construction equipment such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, or similar brands.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently.
Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical or vocational training in diesel or heavy equipment repair.
ASE, CAT, John Deere, or other manufacturer certifications are a plus.
Experience performing both shop and field service repairs.
