A heavy civil construction company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to support preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance across its fleet of heavy equipment. This role is ideal for a dependable, safety-focused mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and thrives in both shop and field environments.
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, haul trucks, loaders, cranes, backhoes, and related machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, engine (gas and diesel), clutch, and transmission systems
- Complete preventative and periodic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
- Document maintenance and service activities accurately and consistently
- Work in both shop and field environments depending on operational needs
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Travel to job sites and work overtime as required
Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic Requirements:
-5+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy construction equipment
- Experience with Komatsu, CAT, or similar heavy equipment brands preferred
- Experience working on dozers, excavators, haul trucks, loaders, cranes, and backhoes
- Valid drivers license and ability to drive a company vehicle required, Class A CDL preferred
