Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A well-established heavy equipment dealer is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Tiffin, Ohio area. If you're a strong diagnostician who likes solving tough problems on big iron, this is a steady, year-round role with top pay and room to grow.

What you'll do

- Diagnose and repair dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, landfill compactors, articulated haul trucks, and support equipment

- Troubleshoot complex engine, hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical problems using OEM diagnostic software and schematics

- Do preventive maintenance, inspections, and rebuilds in the shop and in the field

- Keep accurate service records and talk clearly with service managers and customers

What you bring

- Excellent diagnostic experience on heavy equipment (this is a must)

- 2+ years repairing heavy construction, landfill, or diesel equipment

- Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills

- Your own hand tools and a valid driver's license (a CDL is a plus)

- $26-$40/hr depending on experience, plus overtime
