Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes, and will be responsible for supporting marine and civil construction projects across Florida.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on active job sites.
Perform tasks such as grading, trenching, excavating, lifting, and material movement.
Conduct pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
Follow project plans, blueprints, and directions from superintendents/foremen.
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Assist crew members with labor duties when equipment operation is not required.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience (marine or civil construction preferred).
Ability to operate multiple types of equipment (excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, etc.).
Knowledge of safe operating procedures and OSHA standards.
Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to travel to multiple locations throughout Florida up to 75% of the time.
