Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities:

Brasfield & Gorrie is currently accepting applications for a well-rounded Heavy Equipment Operator to support site work on an active project. Below are the main responsibilities for this position.

What you'll be running: Backhoe, dozer, excavator, mini excavator, skid steer, roller/compactor, and forklift — operating several types of power construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or perform other sitework tasks.

 

What you'll be doing:

• Backfill and grading
• Maintaining haul roads
• Storm pipe installation
• May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:

What we're looking for:

• Comfortable operating multiple pieces of equipment listed above — competent and safe on each
• Experience with grading and backfill work
• Storm drainage/piping experience a plus
• Team player who can adapt to changing site needs day to day
• Safety-first mindset; must adhere to safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
• 3 years Industrial Construction Equipment Operator experience preferred
