Rockstar Recruiting is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various heavy machinery, including JLG, Skyjack, and other types of equipment. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing regular maintenance, and replacing or repairing worn-out parts to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections and perform necessary repairs on equipment.
Diagnose, test, and troubleshoot equipment failures efficiently.
Maintain a basic set of tools required for daily tasks.
Complete repairs within the time frame assigned by your supervisor.
Replace or repair faulty components on machinery/equipment.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment parts as needed.
Prepare repair estimates and submit detailed information to support quotes.
Track job expenses and ensure any additional costs (labor, parts, etc.) are communicated to your supervisor before job completion.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical, vocational, or trade school education is a plus.
ASE certifications in diesel engines, air conditioning, or electrical systems are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing heavy equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
