Is this you?
- Can you read complex fabrication drawings with total confidence?
- Are you precise with tape measures, squares, and calipers—and quick with fractions and decimals?
- Do you thrive fitting heavy steel and pipe in a fast-moving rig yard while staying laser-focused on safety?
What we offer
- FITTER 2: $27.00/HR (STRUCTURAL)
- FITTER 3: $31.00/HR (STRUCTURAL AND SOME PIPING)
- Schedule: Mon–Fri 12-hour shifts, plus 8–12 hours on Saturdays

- Build cut lists and prep materials correctly.
- Use cutting torch, track torch, and magnetic drill safely and efficiently.
- Tack weld using multiple processes in line with company procedures.
- Label parts with heat and part numbers for full traceability.
- Receive, verify, store, and move materials by hoist, forklift, or manual lifting.
- Report realistic ETAs to your foreman or supervisor for welded/prepped items.
- Deburr and remove sharp edges; transfer finished parts to downstream departments.
- Keep your area safe, clean, and organized; always wear required PPE.
- Follow all safety rules and model safe behavior; perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Proficiency with tape measure, squares, hand tools, and gouging tools.
- Strong skills with a hand cutting torch, magnetic drill (hole drilling), and track torch (beveling).
- Safe operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
- Ability to read weld symbols, sizes, notes, and grades; fluent with fractions/decimals.
- Experience building complex weldment assemblies; assemble/disassemble components.
- Qualified 1F or 1G welder per AWS standards.
- Productive work style while following strict safety guidelines.
Physical demands
- Lift/carry 50 lbs independently on uneven surfaces.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools, including heavy-duty equipment.
- Clear near/far vision and good hearing to monitor work and catch issues.
- Constant awareness in a busy yard with moving equipment; PPE worn at all times.
Minimum qualifications
- AWS 1F or 1G weld certification.
- 5+ years of structural fitting experience.
How you’ll qualify
- Pass a written fitter proficiency test.
- Pass a physical fitting test (beam and pipe), including I-beams and coping.
- Pass a physical test based solely on verbal instructions.
