POSITION
Junior High / High School Classroom Proctor
- Blended Learning
- College Credit Plus
- Study Hall
Will work only days students are in session: 7:30-TBD
This position is excluded from the Negotiated Agreement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor''s Degree, minimum requirement
- Current and Valid Ohio Teaching License Preferred
- Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred
RESPONSIBLE TO: Junior High / High School Principal
GENERAL DISTRICT GOALS:
- Maintain and expand Tri-Village''s educational image
- Develop pathways to utilize data
- Integrate literacy skills and literacy techniques in all subject areas at all grade levels?
- Maintain long-term financial stability of the district
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Set high expectations for students to work for the entire period on the coursework required for their class schedule.
- Hold students accountable for appropriate behavior
- Create a physical environment conducive to learning
- Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm and rapport with students and faculty.
- Communicate with teaching staff, guidance and building administrator regarding student progress or lack there of.
- Manage student transitions between classes
- Troubleshoot student access issues (including connectivity, usernames/passwords and multimedia)
- Availability to attend training sessions for the betterment of the school district if needed.
- Additional or different functions may be assigned as required.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
- Skills to motivate students, communicate with individuals from varied educational and cultural backgrounds, direct support personnel, evaluate performance.
- Knowledge of age appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, appropriate instructional subjects.
- Abilities to stand and walk for prolonged periods, perform a variety of specialized tasks; maintain records; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, other school personnel; meet schedules and deadlines. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying, reaching/handling, talking/hearing, near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field of vision.
