High School Math Teacher – Algebra & Pre-Calculus

Cross Country Education is seeking High School Math Teachers in Memphis, TN to provide instruction in Algebra and advanced mathematics while helping students strengthen their mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills while preparing for future academic success.
 
Position Overview

• Algebra: Teach engaging, standards-aligned Algebra instruction while adapting lessons to meet varying levels of student readiness and learning needs.
• Pre-Calculus/Calculus: Deliver rigorous advanced mathematics instruction that develops students’ analytical reasoning, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student understanding, identify learning gaps, and provide targeted support or enrichment to promote mastery.
• Establish a rigorous and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to take ownership of their learning and prepares them for college, careers, and beyond.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Active Tennessee Teaching License/Certificate with the appropriate secondary mathematics endorsement required
• 2+ years of teaching experience preferred, with experience teaching mathematics in an urban or charter school setting strongly preferred
