Ithaca School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered High School Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, and inclusive learning environment where students apply scientific thinking and problem solving. Responsibilities include teaching courses in: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Broad Field Science, aligned with the Wisconsin Standards for Science (WSS).
Plan and implement rigourous, engaging daily lessons using hands-on laboratory experiments, collaborative projects, and data-driven insturction to meet diverse learning needs.
Maintain a warm, structured, and safety-focused classroom environment that encourages student curiosity, critical thinking, and mutual respect.
Formulate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, aligning curriculum map expectations with Wisconsin state assessment models.
Activley participate and colaborate in meetings and parent-teacher conferences to continuously improve school sulture and student achievement.
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Secondary Education, Science Education, or a specific scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Licensure: Must hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid teaching license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) for grades 9-12.
