Duties

Pecatonica High School has one Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish) opening beginning in the 2027-2028 school year. The ideal candidate will teach the assigned sections based on strengths, experience, licensure, and interest while connecting the important of developing strength in foreign language for future school or work force needs. The sections include: Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III, and Spanish IV.

Qualifications

The candidate should be able to provide interactive and engaging lessons, use data to drive instruction, and be collaborative with staff, and demonstrate professionalism in the assigned duties. Licensure to teach the assigned sections at the high school level.

Salary/Benefits

Per the five-year PNA, the base salary will be at least $42,000. Will be negotiating a new contract this school year. the district pays full TRS on top of the base salary and also pays 70% of single insurance. Candidates with additional coursework and experience will be placed accordingly on the salary schedule.

Additional Notes

Extracurricular duties may be available if interested and qualified. This position is open due to the current staff member retiring at the end of this school year.
