Duties

High School Spanish Teacher Needed.

Seneca High School is seeking for its Foreign Language Department an honest, highly-competent, caring, reliable, self-motivated, flexible, and collaborative instructor who regularly goes above and beyond her/his duties. Candidates may hold a valid, registered Illinois professional educator license (PEL) with a content specific endorsement in Foreign Language - Spanish. Additional certifications or alternative licensure may be considered.

The ideal candidate will build a program of excellence by crafting lessons where students are actively participating in challenging tasks to develop cognitive skills through reflective thought, analysis, problem-solving, evaluation, or creativity and where students apply core knowledge, concepts, or skills to solve real-world problems characteristic of its discipline. The teacher utilizes a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of diverse learners. The classroom should imitate a lab-like setting, while realizing a respectful and safe learning environment reflecting the district''s core values.

There are extra-duties (athletic or club sponsorship) required of this opening. Co-curricular vacancies will be discussed with the final candidate. Failure to complete necessary application requirements may result in application disqualification.

Starting teacher salary according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Seneca Education Association for 2027-28 school year, BA-1 is: $55,710.26.

Benefits include Board of Education 100% paid Health, Dental, Vision Premiums, an employee HSA account, & TRS 9.0% Board of Education paid.
