Now hiring math tutors/teachers for Algebra, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Cal, and ACT/SAT/GED Exam Prep.
FLEXIBLE, part-time hours
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in math.
- Help students improve their academic performance and achieve their learning goals.
- Help students secure goal scores on SAT/ACT.
Requirements:
- Ability to tutor students from different grades in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
- Teaching certificate preferred but NOT required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students.
- Patience and empathy to work with students through their unique learning needs.
In order to ensure our students have a successful educational experience, our tutors are required to complete paid, initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum. NO lesson planning, content creation, programming, grading, or parent conferences.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week

The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.

We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.
We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.
At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
