Riverchase Dermatology Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is one of the largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care providers in the Southeast offering medical and surgical dermatology.

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Histotechnician to join our growing pathology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality tissue specimens for microscopic examination to assist pathologists in accurate diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process tissue specimens through routine and special staining procedures
• Operate and maintain histological equipment including microtomes, tissue processors, and staining machines
• Perform embedding, sectioning, and mounting of tissue specimens
• Conduct quality control checks on stains and equipment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation per laboratory protocols
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Participate in continuing education and training programs

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Histotechnology program OR equivalent experience
• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of histology experience required
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Shift: Fulltime/ First Shift
