Histology Supervisor - South Florida

Looking for your next histology leadership opportunity in South Florida? A hospital in the Miami area is looking for an experienced Histology Supervisor to join its laboratory team.

Position Highlights

• Histology laboratory leadership position
• Lead daily laboratory operations and staff
• Oversee accurate and timely laboratory analyses
• Coordinate workflow between shifts
• Manage quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and competency checks
• Support hiring and other employee leadership responsibilities
• Work with histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) processes and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Associate of Science degree in Histology required
• Bachelor’s degree in Histology preferred
• Current and valid Florida Clinical Laboratory Histology Supervisor license
• 5+ years of histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) experience
• Experience with IHC validations
• Strong knowledge of CAP requirements
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and PC applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous leadership experience and ability to effectively manage laboratory staff
