This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional with a strong background in histology, tissue processing, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and advanced tissue-based assays to contribute to cutting-edge oncology and translational biomarker research.
The selected candidate will help develop and expand spatial biology capabilities, supporting preclinical and translational research through high-plex protein imaging, spatial transcriptomics, and quantitative image analysis.
We are particularly interested in candidates who combine hands-on laboratory expertise with imaging and data analysis skills and are interested in advancing innovative spatial biology technologies.
Develop, optimize, and perform high-plex tissue-based assays, including multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial protein profiling.
Design and optimize multiplex antibody panels, including antibody selection, staining protocols, controls, and assay validation.
Support spatial transcriptomics and emerging spatial gene-expression technologies.
Develop integrated workflows involving tissue preparation, staining, imaging, and quantitative analysis.
Perform tissue annotation, cell segmentation, phenotyping, spatial quantification, and image visualization.
Collaborate with computational scientists to integrate spatial protein, RNA, imaging, and histopathology data.
Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtome sectioning, slide preparation, H&E staining, IHC, IF, ISH, and coverslipping.
Work with human and mouse FFPE and frozen tissue samples.
Optimize tissue preparation and sectioning techniques for advanced spatial biology assays.
Perform quality control of tissue sections, staining procedures, and imaging results.
Operate laboratory instrumentation used for histology, multiplex staining, imaging, and slide scanning.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental protocols, SOPs, and sample tracking documentation.
Troubleshoot assay workflows and improve reproducibility and data quality.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across pathology, oncology, molecular biology, translational research, and computational sciences.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Histotechnology, Pathology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
Hands-on laboratory experience in histology, tissue processing, or tissue-based research.
Knowledge of tissue preparation, staining, and laboratory quality control procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate experimental documentation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Candidates do not need to possess every qualification listed below. Applicants with complementary wet-lab and image analysis experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
Experience with multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) and high-plex protein imaging.
Experience with antibody panel development and optimization.
Hands-on experience with IHC, IF, ISH, H&E staining, and tissue sectioning.
Experience working with human and mouse FFPE and frozen tissues.
Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics or spatial gene-expression technologies.
Experience with quantitative microscopy and high-content tissue imaging.
Knowledge of image analysis techniques, including tissue annotation, cell segmentation, phenotyping, and spatial measurements.
Familiarity with R, Python, or other data analysis tools.
