Core Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral care
- Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring, repositioning, and safe ambulation
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines or physician recommendations
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and dishwashing to maintain a clean living environment
- Monitor and document changes in client health status, behavior, or mood and report findings to supervising clinical staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients experiencing isolation or loneliness
- Assist with medication reminders as directed by a supervising nurse or care coordinator
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or community activities when necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely care documentation using provided tools or electronic systems
- Follow all safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and care plan instructions at all times
Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Current Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred but not required for all positions
- Minimum of six months of experience providing direct personal care to elderly or disabled individuals
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written care instructions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients with mobility tasks
- Availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as client needs require
