Home Improvement Technician / Handyman

TruBlue of Fairfield are hiring experienced, multi-skilled technicians. You do the work; we handle the rest: scheduling, estimates, customer calls, and billing. No chasing leads, no unpaid quoting, and no chasing invoices.

A large portion of our clients are seniors who want to age in place safely, along with busy local families. You aren't just fixing houses—you're providing safety and peace of mind. Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills are strict requirements here; if you don't enjoy working directly with people and showing high respect in their homes, this role isn't the right fit.

• $25–$35/hour based on experience

What you’ll do

• Most days you’ll handle 1–4 job site visits at customers’ homes near Fairfield
• Handle small-to-medium home repairs: carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, flooring, light plumbing and electrical, general repairs
• Install safety upgrades for seniors: grab bars, handrails, ramps, mobility aids, smart home systems
• Diagnose everyday household problems and leave every job clean and finished

What you need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in home repair, residential maintenance, or skilled trades
• Your own set of hand and power tools
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably on ladders or in tight spaces
• Ability to pass a background check
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
