Honing Operator

Duties and responsibilities:

1.Firmly adhere to all machining directives relating to part production, with strong

emphasis placed upon content of router, including systematically verifying material

tags, revisions and possible changes to router

2.Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of all processes and equipment

relevant to honing and ID grinding.

3.Institute machining principles essential to the production of quality product.

4.Systematically conduct preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

5.Responsible for meeting production quality and quantity standards during daily

assignment.

6.Maintain labor cards, production information sheets, Floor Inspection Record

(FIR), Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, including additional machining

information requested by foreman while adhering to determined dates and time for

submission.

7.Actively pursue processing of parts in the most efficient, cost effective, quality

enhancing manner possible.

8.Produce parts to customer specifications.

9.Cooperate with fellow members of Honing and Grinding areas, fulfilling the daily

flow of product

10.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and in

accordance with prescribed safety regulations, including: devoting last 10 minutes of

every shift to thorough clean-up of work area.

11.Immediately report any process or equipment problems to department foreman
