We're looking for a caring and compassionate PRN Hospice Chaplain to support patients and families in Preston, Malad, Soda Springs, and the surrounding Southern Idaho communities.Position OverviewThe Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. This role offers comfort, guidance, and a compassionate presence while respecting each patient's personal beliefs, values, and wishes.ResponsibilitiesProvide spiritual and emotional support to hospice patients and their families.Offer comfort and companionship during times of grief, uncertainty, and end-of-life transitions.Support patients and families of all faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds.Collaborate with the hospice care team to support each patient's individual needs.Document visits and patient interactions accurately.Provide support to families experiencing loss and grief, as appropriate.QualificationsExperience in chaplaincy, pastoral care, ministry, or a related field preferred.Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, respectful, and comfortable supporting people from diverse backgrounds.Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area.Hospice or healthcare experience preferred.Position DetailsPosition: PRN (as needed)Service Area: Preston, Malad, Soda Springs, and surrounding Southern Idaho communitiesSchedule: Flexible, based on patient and agency needsWhy Join Ascend?At Ascend, our values are simple: Serve, Lift, and Unite.
