    Do you have the PRN career opportunities as a Hospital Concierge you want with your current employer? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

    The Concierge is the first point of contact for visitors to the hospital and to some patients.

    We have 4 positions available. Two will have core hours on Weekdays 11a to 4pm or 4p to 9p. Two will have core hours on Weekends 7a to 2p or 2p to 9p. However, we want someone who has flexibility to cover all shifts that may be available.

    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Under the limited supervision of the Volunteer Supervisor, the concierge assists staff with non-nursing functions and acts as liaison to patients and visitors.

    What you will do in this position:

    • Provide non-clinical information and perform clerical duties and errands as directed by department supervisor. This position does not provide hands-on patient care.
    • Facilitate Fast Pass Visitor Pass System which is where visitors provide IDs to Concierge to create visitor pass and give appropriate directions to visitors based on their situation.
    • Must be able to identify what process to use when dealing with confidential and trauma patients and their visitors
    • Must be able to multi-task while handling multiple requests at the same time.
    • Must answer phones with professional etiquette and able to document message accurately and deliver message to correct personnel via the appropriate delivery system (phone, computer, in person, or other method).
    • Greet all customers promptly and courteously while promoting the mission, vision, and values of the facility.
    • Communicate with Supervisor, hospital staff, visitors, and patients in a professional, friendly, calm, and courteous manner at all times.
    • Maintain a calm composure in emergency, high-stress situations
    • Able to show compassion with visitors and patients who are experiencing traumatic events.
    • Able to de-escalate situations with individuals in a high state of emotions, including dealing with grieving individuals.
    • Provide a high level of service for all customers (e.g., patients, staff, visitors, physicians, health care industry representatives).
    • Receive flower and package deliveries for patients and staff. Contact appropriate staff to deliver to needed area.
    • Receive, sort, and deliver hospital mail, both incoming and outgoing mail. For outgoing mail, identify and affix the appropriate postage.
    • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
    • Escort patients and visitors to various department within the hospital, including the Emergency Room.
    • Able to interact with various levels of hospital staff from housekeeping to Executive Directors, CEOs.
    • Run onsite errands and assist with clerical duties as requested.
    • Notify Department supervisor of any comments or concerns that a patient or visitor relays.
    • May train new hires in tasks of position.
    • Keep front desk and lobby clean, neat, and stocked with necessary resources.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • High School Graduate / GED. Some college education preferred.
    • 3 to 5 years of Customer Service experience in a fast-pasted environment highly preferred
    • Some medical office or healthcare setting experience highly preferred
    • Able to follow written and oral instructions accurately
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with all Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
