Hospitalist - Per Diem

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base hourly rangeis $130.00to$145.00, excluding any fringe benefits and potential bonuses.

Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, andinternal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the rangeto support future salary growth.

Position Overview:

We seek a board-certified/board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine-trained Hospitalistto join our team on a per diem basis.This position comes with clinical responsibilities at Lawrence andMethuen Hospitals and a minimum shift requirement (2 per month). You will be responsible for managing the treatment of patients admitted to Merrimack Health LawrenceorMethuen Hospitals.

Ideal Candidates:

• Board-certified/board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine-trained physician
• Collaboration and engagement with the interdisciplinary team.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.

Hospitalist Responsibilities:

• Direct care and develop comprehensive treatment plans for adult hospitalized patients
• Communicate with patients and their designated healthcare advocate on progress and plans
• Ensure appropriate transfer of care when assigned hours of service end and upon patient discharge from the hospital
• Document daily involvement in patient care in the medical record and record charges appropriate to the level of service provided and documented
• Opportunity to participate in quality and process improvement projects as well as hospital committees and teaching
• Perform duties in a manner that complies with all applicable standards, rules, policies, and regulations of the hospital, Joint Commission, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations

Schedule and Employment:

• Per diem employment includes malpractice coverage; a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Coverage includes PTO of our full-time FTE's;one weekend a monthas well as weekdays.
