Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet every guest and thank them as they leave, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Manage the waitlist, provide accurate wait time estimates, and seat guests fairly to balance server sections
• Answer phone calls and respond to questions about the menu, hours, and wait times
• Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to maintain smooth dining flow
• Assist bussers with clearing and resetting tables to minimize guest wait times
• Provide menus, kids’ items, and assist guests with special seating needs
• Support takeout and online order pickups as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entry, and waiting area
• Complete opening and closing side work following Silverlake Ramen’s service standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and organized during busy rushes
• Texas Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Capable of standing and walking for entire shifts (6 to 8+ hours)
• Previous hosting, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a bonus
