Hotel Overview:

Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont's luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city's renowned and historic French Quarter.

The Third Measure Host / Hostess serves as one of the first points of contact for guests and plays a critical role in establishing the intimate, sophisticated, and welcoming atmosphere of Third Measure. This position manages reservations, seating, guest flow, and special requests while ensuring each guest receives personalized and attentive service from arrival.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival while creating a polished and memorable first impression
• Serve as an ambassador of Third Measure and Fairmont New Orleans
• Manage reservations, waitlists, seating assignments, and guest preferences
• Escort guests to tables or designated seating areas
• Maintain knowledge of Third Measure''s cocktail, food, and beverage offerings
• Maintain knowledge of operating hours, dress code, reservation policies, special events, and hotel amenities
• Provide guests with accurate and engaging information regarding the Third Measure experience
• Monitor dining and lounge activity and coordinate seating flow with Servers, Bartenders, Runners, and Management
• Manage guest expectations regarding wait times and seating availability
• Maintain awareness of VIPs, repeat guests, celebrations, special occasions, and guest preferences
• Coordinate VIP and high-profile guest arrivals with discretion and professionalism
• Answer telephone calls and assist with reservations and guest inquiries
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests
• Assist with guest recovery efforts and involve leadership when appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards at the host stand, entrance, waiting areas, and guest spaces
• Maintain awareness of the atmosphere and guest experience throughout the Lounge
• Monitor guest flow and communicate operational concerns to leadership
• Maintain familiarity with Fairmont New Orleans amenities, dining outlets, events, and local attractions
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, cleaning, and other operational duties
• Maintain a polished and professional appearance consistent with Third Measure and Fairmont standards
• Follow all hotel policies, service standards, safety procedures, and operational requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Previous Host / Hostess, restaurant, hotel, lounge, or guest service experience preferred
• Luxury hotel, fine dining, upscale restaurant, or cocktail lounge experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain composed and professional in a high-volume environment
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor required
• Strong guest service mindset
• Ability to interact confidently with discerning guests and VIP clientele
• Basic computer and reservation system experience preferred
• Ability to work late-night schedules, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
