Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yrDirect message the job poster from The SeagateWe are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Accounting Manager to lead key financial operations and support the overall success of our resort's finance team. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional with a strong background in hospitality accounting and a passion for accuracy, leadership, and process improvement.This is a critical position within our accounting department, responsible for overseeing income audit, general cashiering, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager plays a central role in ensuring compliance with internal controls and tax regulations, guiding the month-end close process, and mentoring Staff Accountants. This role works closely with all operational departments to support sound financial decision-making across the property.What You Do:Oversee daily income audit functions including balancing and reviewing PMS/POS postings, verifying ledger balances, and distributing daily audit reports and flash reports.Manage general cashiering operations: count and prepare daily deposits, maintain deposit logs, prepare change orders, issue and audit house banks, and enforce cash handling policy compliance.Monitor sales and occupancy tax collections; document exemptions and ensure regulatory compliance.Review and reconcile all food & beverage comps, discounts, room rates, and PMS adjustments, including comp rooms.Reconcile daily and MTD intercompany transactions and ensure related balance sheet accounts are accurate.Prepare and post journal entries related to daily activity and assist in the month-end close process.Supervise and support the hotel Staff Accountant, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial tasks.Manage and monitor accounts receivable: review ledgers, track incoming payments, and house accounts.Provide financial guidance and training to accounting and hotel staff as needed.Ensure compliance with internal policies and local, state, and federal financial regulations.Prepare and post journal entries for all payroll-related items using ADP.Reconcile, prepare, and post all tip and commission payouts in alignment with payroll activity.Perform special assignments and projects as directed by the ADOF or DOF.What You Bring to the Table:Hotel accounting management experience preferred.Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, and hospitality operations.Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, PMS/POS systems, and accounting software.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify variances.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Capable of making decisions guided by policies and financial procedures.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.Ability to move throughout the resort and interact with multiple departments.Occasionally lift and carry files or office supplies (up to 20 pounds).Occasional travel between properties or to off-site meetings as required.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function OtherIndustries HospitalityReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Seagate by 2xInferred from the description for this job Medical insuranceVision insurance401(k)Get notified when a new job is posted.Sign in to set job alerts for “Accounting Manager” roles.
