Position Summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Love Field is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hotel Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our full-service hotel. This leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, audit compliance, and ensuring adherence to company and brand standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, hospitality-focused, and capable of partnering with department leaders to drive financial performance and operational success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all hotel accounting functions including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Payroll
    • Income Audit
    • General Ledger
    • Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
  • Monitor labor costs, expenses, and revenue trends
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and company policies
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls
  • Coordinate audits and tax-related documentation
  • Review daily revenue reports and cash handling procedures
  • Support department managers with financial analysis and cost controls
  • Oversee purchasing controls and inventory processes
  • Train and supervise accounting team members as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel accounting or hospitality finance experience preferred
  • Previous Hotel Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of hotel PMS and accounting systems preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Financial statements
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Payroll processing
    • Internal audits
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
