About the Role:Grand Continent Hotels Iowa LLC is looking for a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our property in Council Bluffs, IA. This is an exciting opportunity to take the helm of a full-service hotel, driving exceptional guest experiences while building a high-performing team. Responsibilities:- Oversee all hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance departments
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, rate management, and occupancy optimization
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage hotel staff to deliver outstanding guest satisfaction scores
- Monitor and manage property budget, P&L statements, and financial performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies
- Build relationships with local businesses, event planners, and community partners to drive group and corporate bookings
- Resolve escalated guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high review ratings
Requirements:- 3–5+ years of hotel management experience, with at least 2 years in a General Manager or AGM role
- Proven track record in hotel operations, revenue management, and team leadership
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest relations skills
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) and hotel booking platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
