About the Role:Courtyard by Marriott in Shelton, CT is looking for a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Worker to help keep our property in top shape. You'll play a vital role in ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained stay. If you take pride in your work and love solving problems, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:- Perform routine preventive maintenance on guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues
- Inspect and maintain pool, fitness center, and other amenity areas
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs to identify and address potential issues
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs as needed
Requirements:- Prior experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on labor
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
