POSITION SUMMARY

The House Supervisor is responsible for the management and coordination of day-to-day program operations, assurance of programs compliance with applicable standards and regulations, assistance in program development and providing support to staff in carrying out program specific tasks to meet the needs of those individuals participating in the program of service. The House Supervisor is also responsible for providing skills training and other services to assigned program consumers as outlined in each individuals plan, including monitoring their acquisition of designated skills.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Participate in recruiting and staff hiring processes.

Supervise and coach staff for performance excellence.

  • Responsible for staff engagement and retention.
  • Assign staff shift duties and create effective checkpoints for efficient shift switch.
  • Utilize Paycom for all staff scheduling as per requirements.
  • Follow On-Call guidelines as required.
  • Train DSP staff and conduct OJT for all new staff and ensure staff follow all home standard operating procedures.
  • Cover open DSP shifts as needed and find staff coverage if there is a "sick house."
  • Approve benefit time, scheduling and payroll submissions.
  • Ensure staff complete data sheets and required paperwork
  • Participate as a member of the client interdisciplinary team, as requested, and communicate all service plan and issues to the Client Care Coordinator CCC/QIDP) including goal/data tracking and behavior plan management.
  • Follow all nursing protocols, Station MD Services, and staff training requirements
  • Communicate with guardians and family members on operational issues at the home..
  • Issue disciplinary actions when/if needed.
  • Complete activity calendars and arrange/coordinate client activities.
  • Monitor Safety Drills, Environmental Reviews, and AED checklists to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Monitor client banking, client rent/bill payment, and client accounts to ensure accuracy and on time completion.
  • Complete residential attendance in EHR electronic records system.
  • Responsible for checking the MARs and reporting issues to the nurse.
  • Pick up medication packets and provide medication information to nurses monthly.
  • Complete purchase orders for food and supplies for the home.
  • Coordinate van maintenance issues and repairs.
  • Ensure homes are well maintained and complete maintenance requests.
  • Assist with client activity and appointment transportation as needed.
  • Support move-in and move-out processes for incoming or departing clients.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Follows HR policies and completes HR paperwork. Contacts HR with questions concerning either.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Bachelors Degree (four year college or technical school): Preferred

Experience: 1 plus years of experience in a progressive leadership role

1 plus years of experience in the DD field

Computer Skills: EHR, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

Certifications &

Licenses: DSP Certified

Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and pass agency vehicle training.

Must be able to meet agency driver safety requirement of carrying personal vehicle insurance with the following limits:

$50,000 bodily injury, each person

$100,000 bodily injury, each accident

$50,000 property damage

Ability to use Phone, Fax, Copier, and file required.
