Job Description

Performs routine, daily cleaning and supplying patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives. Follows all safety guidelines in accordance with any state-mandated rules and regulations. The Infection Prevention Technician will adhere to appropriate precautions and techniques in each department regarding hazardous chemicals, blood and body fluids, medical waste and/or equipment. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Is expected to work varying hours, holidays, and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) preferred. LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION: EXPERIENCE: Previous cleaning/infection prevention experience preferred but not required.
