Housekeeper

Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION: Ensures the highest level of cleanliness and safety in all of S.P.Y.C facilities.  Promotes excellent public relations and 100% guest satisfaction.  Works as a valuable member of a dedicated, professional team.  Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the club’s personal appearance standards.  

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use equipment required for the job 
• Willing to work various shifts when necessary.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, 10-30lbs.

Tasks:

1. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, sweep and mop classrooms, and other work areas so that all facility standards are met.
2. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
3. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
4. Sweep, scrub, wax, and /or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
5. Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
6. Keep storage areas clean and tidy
7. Polish silver and brass accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
8. Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner
9. Give recognition to members, when applicable.
10. Immediately report to maintenance any damages or loss of items.
11. Turn Lost and Found items to Front desk or Manager.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by any supervisor or manager.

ENVIRONMENT:

Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, occasionally in inclement weather.  Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, lifts, etc.
