Hotel Indigo is seeking to add more Housekeepers to our team!

Join one of the best teams in the business!  Be part of a team that works hard, gets the job done and has a good laugh while doing so.   Time and time again, we receive stellar reviews for our customer service.   We need to add up to 3 housekeepers to the team.   Weekends are necessary, primarily day shifts.  (9am to 3pm)   Previous work as a housekeeper in a hotel environment is REQUIRED.  Housekeepers are responsible for keeping guest rooms and public areas consistently clean and organized. Room attendants must have an eye for detail and maintain the hotel’s standards of cleanliness. Responsible for creating a warm welcoming environment where our guests can feel confident in the cleanliness of their room.  Please submit a resume for consideration.   Qualified candidates will get interviews immediately.

Essential Functions:

1. Possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and cleanliness to our guests.
2. Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor, wearing the brand-approved uniform and name tag as required.
3. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas giving our guests the highest level of trust in our housekeeping staff.
4. Demonstrate a professional sense of urgency while in guest rooms and public spaces to provide a thoughtful guest experience promptly, consistently meeting budgeted goals for minutes per room.
5. Clean and stock all guest rooms as assigned. Including changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, stocking supplies, emptying trash, removing used linens and room service items, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, tubs, and sink. Dust, polish furniture, straighten furnishings, and appliances. Clean appliances, and dishes if applicable.
6. Keep Head Housekeeper informed of room status on a timely basis.
7. Greet guests as you encounter them throughout the property.
8. Take pride in your work, strictly adhering to all Federal, State, Local and Brand health, safety, and sanitary guidelines.
9. Follow all safe chemical handling procedures according to the chemical manufacturer's instructions.
10. Keep workspace, storage rooms, housekeeping carts clean and well organized and stocked. Including equipment such as vacuum cleaners.
11. Work in an organized fashion following the step-by-step process.
12. Observe the condition of furniture, walls, trim, carpet, and appliances. Report all deficiencies following the hotels' policies.
13. Keep lines of communication open within the housekeeping department. Participate in daily standup meetings, housekeeping, and all staff meetings.
14. Adhere to key control guidelines.
15. Assist in quarterly, spring, fall, annual cleaning duties as assigned.
16. Turn in lost and found items following the company procedure.
17. Participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment.
18. Holds an understanding of hotel products and services (i.e., food and beverage, recreation)

Performs other duties as assigned.
