Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures. Check with the manager/supervisor before leaving work at the end of your shift.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area. Promotes hotel services and products.
Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction. Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented;
Ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, brand standards, and regulations. Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies. Consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests and associates.
Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or matters of significance to the manager/supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.
Education and Experience:
High school education or equivalent experience. Guest service, basic accounting, and familiarity with hospitality industry practices are preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of housekeeping principles and practices along with proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures. Ability to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment. Attention to detail with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
Display consistent professional leadership with effective listening and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities. Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Physical work is a primary part of job. Work is normally performed in an interior hotel environment. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, processes request and operates office equipment such as a telephone, calculator, computer, copier and fax. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing and/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses. This position may be required to operate a motor vehicle.
