About the role
Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to help lead the day-to-day operation of our Housekeeping team. Hotel Bardo is an intimate luxury property, and our expectations for cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail are exceptionally high. Maintaining that standard requires a leader who is highly visible, hands-on, and comfortable spending the majority of the day in the operation.
Working closely with the Director of Housekeeping, this role leads across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back-of-house spaces—inspecting rooms, coaching team members in real time, supporting daily assignments, addressing cleanliness concerns, and stepping in wherever the operation needs leadership.
This is not primarily an office or administrative role. The right candidate enjoys being on the floor, understands the physical and operational demands of luxury housekeeping, and is comfortable with long, active days when business requires it.
This is an onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah. Candidates must have hotel or resort housekeeping leadership experience and the flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
What you'll do
- Lead daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and service areas
- Maintain exceptionally high standards for cleanliness, presentation, and detailed cleaning throughout the hotel
- Spend significant time on the floor inspecting rooms and public spaces, coaching team members, and supporting execution
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, housepersons, and laundry team members
- Coordinate closely with Front Office on room readiness, VIP arrivals, special requests, and changing operational priorities
- Support daily staffing, assignments, scheduling, productivity, inventory, and departmental reporting
- Partner with Engineering to identify maintenance concerns and ensure appropriate follow-through
- Respond quickly and thoughtfully to housekeeping-related guest concerns
- Support the team during high-volume or challenging periods and step into the operation when needed
- Partner with the Director of Housekeeping on departmental priorities, standards, training, and team performance

- Comfortable working a physically active role and spending extended periods throughout the hotel operation
- Strong organization, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills
