Here at Arlo we strive to create a sense of awe that leaves those we touch wanting more....This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization and direction for the day to day operation of the Housekeeping department. This role will focus on ensuring high levels of cleanliness, guest service and satisfaction throughout the hotel. This includes guest rooms; hallways, lobbies, public areas, rest areas, storage, work areas, and hotel grounds which meet and /or exceed Arlo Standards.Responsibilities and AuthoritiesAlways treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety ofsituations.Display honesty and integrityEmploysexcellent employee relations ad team building skillsMaintain open communication with Housekeeping Managers and all other departments.Adhere to hotel Health and Safety guidelinesConduct and participate in pre-shift meetingsWork under pressure in a fast paced environmentReport immediately any accident and/or incident which may occur while at workEnsure overall consistency and efficiency of the Housekeeping departmentSpecific DutiesSupervises housekeeping staff: training and development from the commencement of hire throughout their daily duties.Enforces Policies and Procedures of the housekeeping department to ensure safety and consistency.Schedules team members according to labor standards and foretasted business levelsPrepares daily assignment for all housekeeping team membersChecks all vacant rooms and spaces, public spaces, storage areas, and rest areas each day in conjunction with supervisorsMaintains a high level of cleanliness quality based on hotel objectivesManages in conjunction with the housekeeping leaders the Lost and Found programEnsures guest satisfaction; addresses guest issues and/ or any correspondenceAssists the Director of Housekeeping in controlling costs, as well as labor costs, improving departmental revenuesOrders and receives supplies, ensuring an adequate inventory levelEnsures all hotel housekeeping standards are training to all housekeeping team membersCoaches and develops team members when neededMaintains a deep cleaning programConducts monthly departmental meetings with leadershipEstablishes a strong relationship with the Engineering department for any repairs needed and preventative maintenance program.RequirementsCollege degree in Hospitality or related field preferredMore than two years of experience in housekeeping management capacityAbility to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other team members and departments.Possess knowledge of opening and closing the house, inventory control, ordering supplies, payroll, scheduling and managing budgetsPhysical AbilitiesMove, life, carry, push, pull, place objects weighing less than or equal to 15 pounds without assistanceReaching overhead and below with the knees, includingbending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.#J-18808-Ljbffr
