Overview:

House Attendants serve as the backbone of our operation in maintaining organized and orderly operations throughout the facility.  They provide critical support to Housekeeping and impact turnover of rooms and revenue potential.  You will support the Room Attendants in the completion of “heavy” work. Since this job impacts the guests’ perception of the hotel’s cleanliness, it directly impacts customer satisfaction. So, if you deliver personalized service consistently that includes clean and fresh accommodation and “the unexpected” in service, it will delight guests and develop loyalties to secure return visits to the hotel. This position reports to the manager/supervisor and/or the office coordinator.

Schedule Requirements

The position includes morning and afternoon/evening shifts with regular weekend attendance. Holidays are scheduled as business requires.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide detailed cleaning to public areas (both back and front of house).
  • Provide coverage for public space cleaning shifts as needed
  • Maintain adequate supplies in housekeeping closets, cages, and service areas.
  • Stock rooms linen on all floors in service areas and ensure adequate supply.
  • Support housekeepers, deliver supplies and guest requests as directed by HotSOS.
  • Support housekeepers in cleaning and turnover of guest rooms.
  • Handle emergency cleaning requests.
  • Perform room deep cleaning including drapery, carpet spotting, wallpaper, and vents.
  • Responsible for practicing, managing, and promoting our Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation
  • Completes any duties and projects as assigned by department managers or supervisors.

 

Qualifications:

Required Job Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50-pounds
  • Ability to be mobile on feet for entire shift.
  • IPod Touches and/or radios are used throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as pulling, pushing, and bending for extended periods of time. Examples: Moving full laundry buggies, bending to clean baseboards
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a group setting.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.
  • Fluency of the English language is strongly preferred.

Must be able to listen to instructions and read memos, short correspondences, and messages.
