Job Description

Summertown Metals is looking for a motivated, self-directed individual to serve as an HR Assistant. This is a full-time position which is eligible for benefits which include medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, life, 401K with up to a 4% company match, PTO and vacation time.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Review and update all personnel profiles on Paycor. Make sure all data is documented in the appropriate area.
Be present and assist with new hire interviews.
Assist in developing on board process for new employees.
Assist in setting up Employee Benefits via Employee Navigator/Paycor.
Assist monitoring monthly KRA updates and ensure leaders are reviewing with their team members.
Partner with payroll to ensure wage and benefit changes are implemented properly.
Investigate and assist with complaints brought forward by employees.
Conduct reference checks and perform background checks for new hires.
Separate employee system for tracking health related items
Assist in weekly safety meetings as needed with the safety coordinator.
Help set up work comp file for work comp cases. Assist safety coordinator with any needed information in completing OSHA 300 forms each year.
Monitor and champion Drug Free Workplace and random drug screen policy.
Assist with all Hope Center documentation and payments
Assist Doug with benefits bills as needed.
Assist with any other project as needed.
