This is an onsite role, there will be occasional flexibility but should expect to be onsite 95% of the time.
We’re looking for an HR contractor to partner with our HR team and support our Mankato manufacturing site in a high-growth industry. In this role, you’ll partner with site managers, employees, and HR colleagues to provide day-to-day HR guidance and operational support across the employee lifecycle. You’ll help deliver consistent HR services, support people processes and site priorities, and contribute to key HR projects throughout the contract period.
What You’ll Do
Partner with HR leaders and business partners to support workforce, talent, and organizational priorities in a manufacturing environment within a high-growth industry.
Support initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, promote an inclusive and respectful workplace, and share HR best practices.
Contribute to talent and succession processes and employee engagement initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
Provide trusted day-to-day guidance and operational HR support to managers and employees, helping ensure consistent application of policies and processes.
Deliver timely, well-organized support for HR programs, projects, and operational priorities based on business needs during the assignment.
Support employee relations and other HR matters in partnership with senior HR team members, applying sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
Help maintain compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state employment requirements.
Provide flexible, collaborative support across HR activities and special projects, with clear communication and consistent follow-up throughout the contract period.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development and 2+ years of HR generalist experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development; no prior HR generalist experience required; OR
4+ years of HR generalist experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred:
HR generalist experience in a non-unionized manufacturing environment, supporting staffing, benefits, compensation, and other employee lifecycle activities.
Experience advising managers and employees on HR policies and employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and handling confidential information.
Experience applying federal and state employment laws and supporting compliance activities, including AAP and EEO requirements.
Experience using Workday HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite to maintain employee information, review HR data, and prepare communications and reports.
Experience coordinating HR activities and projects, tracking deadlines, and partnering with HR Shared Services or global/matrix teams.
