    Job Description

    Home Oil Company is looking for an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and helping keep the day-to-day HR function running smoothly.
     
    The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Director and support employees and managers across our corporate, retail, warehouse, and transportation operations.
     
    What You’ll Do
    • Support day-to-day HR operations and serve as a resource for employees and managers.
    • Process employee changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and other updates in Paycor.
    • Assist with onboarding and new-hire orientation.
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
    • Track required training, acknowledgements, and other compliance items.
    • Assist with employee relations matters, documentation, and follow-up.

    • Support performance evaluations and corrective action processes.
    • Assist with HR communications, policy rollouts, and training.
    • Provide backup support to other members of the HR team as needed.
    • Help identify opportunities to improve HR processes and the employee experience.
    What We’re Looking For
    • Previous Human Resources experience, preferably in a Generalist or similar role.
    • Working knowledge of employment practices and basic HR compliance.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
    • Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
    • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Experience with an HRIS system; Paycor experience is a plus.
    • Willingness to visit company locations as needed.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent HR experience will also be considered.
