The Human Resources (HR) Generalist supports the daily HR operations of a fast-paced manufacturing facility by partnering with leaders and employees to develop and retain talent. This role is responsible for employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and HR policy administration while promoting a positive, safe, and productive workplace.
Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
Partner with managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective actions.
Conduct workplace investigations and maintain confidentiality.
Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and workers' compensation.
Maintain HR records and HRIS data while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Support payroll processes by ensuring employee information and timekeeping records are accurate.
Assist with employee engagement, training, and retention initiatives.
Collaborate with plant leadership to support staffing needs and foster a positive workplace culture.
Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.
Knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, recruiting, and HR best practices.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with employees on the production floor. Occasional flexibility in schedule may be needed to support business operations.
