Position Overview

Our client is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team in a fully onsite role in La Porte, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with 1–4 years of experience who is looking to build their career in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is comfortable working closely with employees and managers, with a particular strength in employee relations. This person should be eager to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on day-to-day HR matters.

• Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance concerns, attendance, and workplace concerns.

• Partner with leadership to address employee questions and promote a positive workplace culture.

• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives.

  
  
• 
  

• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR processes and documentation are completed properly.

• Support company policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.

• Assist with performance management and employee engagement efforts.

• Collaborate with other departments to identify HR needs and implement solutions.

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.

• Take on additional HR responsibilities and projects as the organization and your career develop.

Qualifications

• 
  

• 1–4 years of progressive HR experience.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong employee relations experience and a genuine interest in working directly with employees.

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  
  
• 
  

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organization.

  
  
• 
  

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  
  
• 
  

• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

  
  
• 
  

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
