Job Title:HR Lead (Hospitality)

Location (city, state): Alexandria, VA

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 annually (depending on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (onsite)

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Description:

The HR Lead (Hospitality) will serve as a key partner to executive leadership, helping shape and execute people strategies that align with business goals. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for overseeing all human resources functions as a standalone leader, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.

This individual will play a critical role in building and improving HR processes, advising leadership on workforce matters, and supporting a diverse employee population across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR leader, managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with company objectives
  • Develop and refine HR policies, procedures, and programs to support scalability
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts and workforce planning strategies
  • Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee performance management processes and support leadership development
  • Design and administer compensation and benefits programs
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Provide guidance on organizational structure and workforce planning
  • Support a variety of teams including operations, administrative staff, and field employees

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; HR certification or advanced degree is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Prior experience operating as a standalone HR professional strongly preferred
  • Background in hospitality, events, or similar fast-paced industries preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn and sourcing platforms
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (Paychex or similar) is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations and influence decision-making
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to support tasks at all levels
