    Description


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. HR Strategy & Leadership:

      • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company goals and California employment laws.
      • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
    2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

      • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
      • Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and develop strategies to attract top talent.
    3. Employee Relations:

      • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing workplace issues and facilitating conflict resolution.
      • Promote a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and open communication.
    4. Compliance & Legal:

      • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, leaves of absence, and workplace safety.
      • Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports for audits or regulatory requirements.
    5. Compensation & Benefits:

      • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
      • Partner with finance to manage payroll and ensure equitable and competitive compensation practices.
    6. Training & Development:

      • Design and implement training programs to support employee growth, leadership development, and compliance requirements.
      • Foster a learning environment that supports career progression and skill enhancement.
    7. Performance Management:

      • Oversee the performance review process and provide tools and resources to managers for effective evaluations.
      • Identify opportunities for employee improvement and recommend appropriate development plans.
    8. Health & Safety:

      • Ensure workplace safety compliance with CA/OSHA standards.
      • Lead initiatives promoting employee well-being and work-life balance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Thorough knowledge of California labor laws and regulations.
    • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, Workday).
    • Prefers the candidate who is native English with some Korean language skills. Korean doesn't have to be fluent.
    • Prefers college graduates in the U.S.
