Summary:


The Human Resources – Office Manager Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role supporting efforts to the organization's overall success by ensuring compliance, attracting, and retaining talent, managing performance, fostering employee engagement, maintaining positive employee relations, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with leave policies. This position also manages the administrative, organizational, and support function of the office to ensure efficient operations. 

Key Responsibilities


  1. Human Resources Management: 
    • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation process; maintain personnel files and I-9 records.
    • Facilitate pre-employment drug screenings and submits new team member background checks.
    • Update HRIS system with team member change requests and processes paperwork.
    • Gives input on the job status of team members (hiring, termination, promotions, and assignments).
    • Process termination of team members
    • Maintain time and attendance controls for payroll; prepares hourly payroll data for processing.
    • Manage work comp injury claims (if there is not an EHS Specialist onsite)
  2. Office Management: 
    • Answer telephone inquiries; take and relay messages and greet visitors.
    • Reconcile and track credit card transactions, budget, and general ledger.
    • Maintain tracking of office equipment and supplies, ensuring cost efficiency
    • Manage invoicing; collect checks and make deposits as needed.
    • Process and sort mail.
    • General clerical tasks, filing, and data entry.
    • Accounting duties as assigned by management, such as: (Confirm that proper daily financial transactions are recorded in the general. Reconcile AP to Purchase Orders. Perform full-cycle AP processing. Maintain accounting records; assist in reconciling GL accounts; assist with quarterly reporting, weekly vessel settlements, process fish tickets daily.)
  3. Employee Relations Management: 
    • Perform team member service support functions by answering team member requests and questions.
    • Oversee team member recognition and team building events, plan office events and parties.
    • Help identify performance management strategies at your location including, internal training and development opportunities, driving the annual performance review process, and supporting team member corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and development action plans.
    • Be a leader in managing employee relations matters. Conduct investigations, present findings, and assist with determining the appropriate corrective action and resolution.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood


Education and Experience
  • Required
    • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Minimum of two years related Human Resources experience.
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
    • Previous HR experience in a manufacturing, processing, or distribution environment.
    • Bilingual written, verbal, and reading skills in English and Spanish languages.
