HR / People Coordinator

About the Role

TESIM Electric is hiring an HR / People Coordinator to build and run the people function as we scale. You'll own onboarding, benefits, payroll administration, compliance, and the systems that make TESIM a place A-players want to work.

What You'll Own

• End-to-end onboarding for field and office hires.
• Benefits administration (health, dental, vision) and open-enrollment cycles.
• Payroll coordination with the bookkeeper/controller.
• Compliance: I-9s, E-Verify, workers' comp, OSHA recordkeeping, DOL requirements.
• Employee lifecycle: reviews, PTO, leave, offboarding.
• Culture and team programs — the small things that make people stay.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR coordinator or generalist experience.
• Working knowledge of Texas employment law and construction industry HR requirements.
• Comfortable with HRIS/payroll systems.
• Discretion with confidential employee information.
• Detail-obsessed with process and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Construction, trades, or field-services HR background.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
• Experience building HR programs from scratch at a growing company.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Compensation

$28–$40/hr DOE. Top-of-market pay for the person who builds our people function.
