HR Specialist

We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Specialist to support our Headquarters office. TheHRSpecialistwillprovidecomprehensivehumanresources,administrative,andoperationalsupporttotheHRDirectorandCorporateHeadquartersstaffthrougheffectivecommunication,coordination,andemployee-focusedservicedelivery.

• Use Unanet and Workforce now ADP to manage onboarding/offboarding and employee benefits including tuition reimbursement and new elections (workers comp/health insurance)
• Manage unemployment claims, and wage garnishments documentation

• Communicate with public services when needed
• Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees' safety
• Maintain company handbook and oversee employee labor laws.
• Liaison for Harbor Compliance, completing the registration of new business, registering unemployment claims and taxes
• Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees' orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
• Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship
