Job Description
A leading professional services firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced HRIS Manager to serve as the organization's primary HRIS subject matter expert and hands-on leader. This highly visible role will oversee the administration, optimization, and continued development of the firm's HR technology platforms while partnering closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and other internal teams.
THE ROLE:
- Serve as the primary HRIS subject matter expert and working manager, overseeing day-to-day system administration and support.
- Manage a team of 2-3
- Manage system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing optimization.
- Maintain HR and payroll data integrity through audits, reporting, queries, and system validations.
- Identify process gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency, functionality, and automation.
- Lead technical aspects of HRIS enhancements, implementations, benefits administration, and employee self-service initiatives.
- Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, internal stakeholders, and external vendors on reporting and system needs.
YOU:
- 8+ years of HRIS administration experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Strong hands-on HRIS experience, with UKG strongly preferred.
- Experience with HRIS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, reporting, data integrity, benefits administration, and systems optimization.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic projects with hands-on technical responsibilities.
