Title: HRIS Specialist (Paylocity)
Location : Salt Lake City region or Northern Utah (hybrid schedule, 1-2 days/week onsite)
Target Start Date : ASAP
Type: Contract (through the end of 2026)
Pay Rate : $30.00-$40.00/hr

Overview
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions, is seeking a hands-on HRIS Specialist with strong Paylocity experience to support and optimize HR systems and onboarding operations. This role is focused on building, improving, and automating processes—not just maintaining them. You will play a key role in ensuring HR systems are accurate, scalable, and efficient, while enhancing the overall new hire onboarding experience through streamlined workflows and automation.


Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration (Paylocity)
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Paylocity, including configuration, permissions, and workflows
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across all employee records
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations to ensure effective system utilization
  • Configure and optimize modules such as onboarding, employee records, and reporting
Onboarding Operations
  • Support onboarding coordination during active hiring periods
  • Manage new hire workflows, documentation, and system setup
  • Ensure onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time
  • Partner with recruiting and hiring managers to deliver a seamless onboarding experience
Process Optimization & Automation
  • Evaluate current HR and onboarding workflows to identify inefficiencies
  • Design and implement automated workflows within Paylocity
  • Standardize processes across teams and locations
  • Reduce manual work and improve data accuracy
  • Build scalable systems to support high-volume hiring
Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards within Paylocity
  • Track onboarding progress, completion rates, and key HR metrics
  • Provide visibility into system performance and process effectiveness

Qualifications
Required
  • Hands-on experience administering Paylocity
  • Experience in HRIS administration, HR operations, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of onboarding workflows and HR data management
  • Proven ability to improve processes and implement automation
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
Preferred
  • Experience in high-growth or high-volume hiring environments
  • Background supporting staffing, manufacturing, or operations-driven teams
  • Experience with HRIS integrations (ATS, payroll, timekeeping)
  • Experience documenting processes and building SOPs
