Seeks experienced, talented, and energetic candidates for the position of Human Resource Generalist. This position is ideal for candidates with experience handling benefits administration, payroll preparation, talent acquisition, classification and compensation and writing policies and procedures.
Position Summary
- 40 hours a week
- Ideally in office three (3) days a week/telework two (2) days a week
- Paid parking available (contractor must pay monthly fee)
- Potential for up to a year assignment
- Reports to the Human Resources Director
DUTIES
- Serves as the agency’s Benefits Administrator. Conducts new employee orientation, ensuring employees are properly welcomed.
- Prepares payroll submission paperwork timely for both classified and wage employees, with minimal errors
- Manages the full life-cycle of recruitment activity
- Regularly audits position files to ensure positions are appropriately allocated
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of the full life-cycle of talent acquisition
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare benefits, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers compensation, flexible spending accounts, retirement programs and deferred compensation
- Effective oral and written communication skills
