Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000, commensurate with experience
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources & Administrative Coordinator to support our growing engineering and survey firm of 30-35 employees. This position will initially be structured as 50% Human Resources, 25% accounting support, and 25% general administrative support responsibilities, with the expectation that the HR portion will grow into a full-time Human Resources role within 2–4 years as the company expands. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to build and grow an HR career within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Human Resources (Approximately 50%)
  o Coordinate recruiting efforts, job postings, and interview scheduling
  o Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
  o Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
  o Assist with benefits administration and employee inquiries
  o Support payroll coordination and documentation
  o Help develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures
  o Assist with performance review and employee engagement initiatives
  o Support training coordination and professional development efforts
• Accounting Support (Approximately 25%)
  o Provide backup for processing invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
  o Assist with the tracking and management of accounts receivable, following up on outstanding invoices.
  o Support the coordination with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies.
  o Support the maintaining of detailed and organized billing records and documentation.
  o Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing and accounts receivable.
  o Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to billing and financial transactions.
• Administrative Support (Approximately 25%)
  o Provide general administrative support to the engineering & survey teams
  o Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and prepare correspondence
  o Assist with preparation of local and state permit applications
  o Answer phones and assist with general office operations
  o Support filing, document control, and data management

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management (or relevant equivalent) required
• 1–3+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
• Experience working in the civil engineering, construction, or professional services industry
• HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR), or willingness to obtain
• Familiarity with benefits administration and employment compliance

Growth Opportunity
